Club Mats

Crafted with a reconstituted E200 foam core (~200kg/m³ density), our Club Mats offer a softer, more forgiving surface.

They’re designed to absorb impact effectively for lighter users making them ideal for youth training, beginners, and everyday club use. The slightly lower-density foam allows for comfort during practice while still providing enough resistance for safe breakfalls and groundwork.

When placed on sprung or wooden floors, these mats perform exceptionally well. However, we recommend caution when using them on hard surfaces like concrete, as heavier users may experience "bottoming out" during high-impact throws.

Competition Mats

Crafted with a high-density E215 foam core (~230–240kg/m³) at 40mm thick, our Competition Mats deliver firmer support and superior impact resistance essential for high-level judo training and competition.

This denser chip foam compresses less on impact, significantly reducing the risk of "bottoming out" on hard surfaces like concrete. The result is a more stable, responsive surface that gives judokas the confidence to perform powerful throws, breakfalls, and fast-paced groundwork.

Favoured by experienced athletes, the firmer feel underfoot also enhances stability, reduces ankle wobble, and delivers a more professional training environment. Combined with an anti-slip base and strong nylon or polyester backing, these mats are built for performance, durability, and safety at the highest level.

IJF Approved Mats

Crafted with a high-density E215 foam core (~230–240kg/m³) at 50mm thick, The Essimo IJF Competition Mats deliver firmer support and superior impact resistance essential for high-level judo training and competition. These IJF approved mats are used in official tournaments organised by the EJU (European Judo Union) and the IJF (International Judo Federation).
